The Addiction Program

The Addiction Program offers assessment and outpatient counseling for people of all ages experiencing issues with alcohol, drug use and gambling. Assistance is also available to family members and friends.

In addition to office locations of CAMHS, counselors are also available through the guidance offices of any high school.

The Adult Mental Health Program

The Adult Mental Health Program provides community-based, client-focused services to adults with mental health illnesses. Services include assessment, consultation, treatment, education, support and advocacy.

We are a staff of psychiatric nurses, social workers and psychiatrists who provide clinical services to people aged 16 and older. Treatment includes psychotherapy, counseling, group therapy, monitoring of psychotropic medication and consultation to physicians and other mental health agencies and professionals.

CAST Crisis Assessment & Support Team

The Crisis Assessment and Support Team (CAST) provides 24-hour mental health crisis support for people aged 16 and older and is staffed by experienced mental health professionals.

CAST provides face to face mental health assessments and short-term follow-up crisis counseling as necessary CAST also has the ability to refer people to trained peer specialist and various resources throughout Haldimand and Norfolk Counties to best meet the individual needs.

The Specialized Geriatric Services Program

The Specialized Geriatric Services Program provides non-emergency clinical assessment , consultation, treatment and education to older adults, their families and service providers who are, or know of, someone who is experiencing mental health issues combined with age-related difficulties.

Our Services are provided by an interdisciplinary team consisting of registered nurses, geriatric psychiatrists and geriatricians. Referrals are accepted from anyone, however the family physician is notified and support sought to address any medical concerns or symptoms that may be present.

Clients are seen in their own home, retirement homes, long-term care facilities, hospitals and community programs.

Achieve Mental Health and Wellness Recovery Centre

The Achieve Mental Health and Wellness Recovery Centre is a non-clinical program provided by and for people who live with mental illness. The vision is to enhance the self-sufficiency and quality of life for mental health consumers in an informal, family-like atmosphere.

Members are empowered through peer support, advocacy, education, social and recreational activities. The Centre aids individuals in their lives. The Centre operates on a drop-in basis, and referrals are not required to participate in the programs.

The Wellness Recovery Centre is a safe, friendly place where people can come for a visit, be supported by their peers and / or participate in the programs offered.
