Adult Program

The Adult Mental Health Program provides community-based, client-focused services for people age 16 years and over who have mental health or concurrent (mental health and addictions) concerns.

The Adult Program’s clinical team is comprised of registered nurses (RNs), social workers (SWs) and psychiatrists.  Assessment by a psychiatrist must be made by referral by another physician or a nurse practitioner.

Self-referrals are accepted for counselling only.

SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • Assessment
  • Treatment through individual counselling, group treatment, medication or a combination of treatments as appropriate
  • Referrals to, or partnering with, other community agencies and resources
  • Education and advocacy

Generally the structure of counselling will be strength-based, solution-focused therapy of approximately eight sessions aiding in a person’s journey of recovery.

REFERRALS:

  • By family physician or nurse practitioner with his/her signature
  • Self-referrals accepted for counselling only

All services are confidential and supplied without cost.
